Vic Howe was a Canadian professional ice hockey player. He was a right wing, who played for the New York Rangers of the National Hockey League (NHL).

Vic’s father, Albert Clarence Howe, was born in Wisconsin, U.S., to Canadian parents, from Ontario. Vic’s mother, Katherine “Kate” (Schultz), was a German emigrant, from Stuttgart. Vic’s older brother was professional ice hockey player Gordie Howe. His nephews, Gordie’s sons, are professional ice hockey players Marty Howe and Mark Howe. Vic was married to Jaquie White.

Vic’s paternal grandfather was James Howe (the son of James Howe and Mary Elizabeth Beswick). Vic’s grandfather James was born in Belleville, Hastings County, Ontario, Canada. Vic’s great-grandfather James was born in Nymet Tracey (now part of Bow), Devon, England, the son of William Howe and Elizabeth Heard. Vic’s great-grandmother Elizabeth was also English, and was the daughter of Thomas Beswick and Mary Wain.
