Birth Name: Teri Lynn Hatcher

Teri Hatcher is an American actress, writer, presenter, singer, and NFL cheerleader. She has starred on the series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman and Desperate Housewives, and in the film Tomorrow Never Dies.
Teri is the daughter of Esther (Beshur) and Owen Walker Hatcher. Her father was a many-generations American, and had English, and some Irish and Scottish, ancestry. Her maternal grandfather was from Syria, and her maternal grandmother was of Frisian background.
Teri is sometimes said to have some degree of Choctaw Native American ancestry. It is not clear if this Choctaw ancestry has been verified/documented.
Teri has a daughter with her former husband, actor Jon Tenney.
Teri’s paternal grandfather was Owen Walker Hatcher (the son of James Hutson Hatcher and Anna Bell Pratt). Teri’s grandfather Owen was born in Oklahoma. James was the son of Owen Walker Hatcher and Permelia J. Hawkins. Anna was the daughter of James Pratt and Sarah “Sally” Sego/Seago.
Teri’s paternal grandmother was Mittie Mae Graham (the daughter of James Duncan Graham and Samantha Clercy Rogers). Mittie was born in Texas. James was the son of Ozias Denton Graham and Martha Matilda Thornton. Samantha was the daughter of Geogre Washington Lafayette Rogers and Sarah Ann Emaline Dean Lamb.
Teri’s maternal grandfather was Isbir Khalil Beshur/Bashur (the son of Khalil Beshur/Bashur and Rahma/Rahme Milhim/Milhem). Isbir was a dentist, who was born in Safita, Syria. At least some of the Beshur family may have had roots in Tripoli, Lebanon. They were likely related to Zerefeh Bashur, the first female licensed physician in the Levant, and prominent cardiologist Fouad Bashour. Isbir later re-married to Sarah Ann Kolar, who was of Bohemian Czech and Irish descent.
Teri’s maternal grandmother was Johanne/Hanna/Hanni Elizabeth Ontjes (the daughter of Conrad Ontjes and Gertrude de Vries). Johanne was an emigrant, from Heisfelde, Leer, Lower Saxony, Germany, and likely was of Frisian descent.

Maternal grandfather Isbir Khalil Beshur/Bashur (1896-1959) was born in Safita, Syria as can be seen in the birth certificate of his daughter Jane (Esther’s sister) in Cook County, Illinois here https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QKDC-2F8H and in Isbir Beshur WWII draft in Cook, Illinois here https://www.ancestry.com/discoveryui-content/view/9559044:1002 (requires subscription)
In his obituary of 1959 it is stated he had a brother, the late Dr. Abraham Khalil Beshur (also a dentist like Isbir as seen in his draft). https://www.ancestry.com/discoveryui-content/view/503827391:61843 (requires subscription)
Isbir and Abraham were the sons of Khalil Beshur/Bashur and Rahma Milhim/Milhem as can be seen in the death certificate in Chicago, Cook, Illinois of dentist Abraham Khalil Bashur (Sept 13th, 1880-1949) who was also born in Safita, Syria https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:Q2M4-PG43
The Bashur family of Safita seems to be originally from Tripoli, Lebanon and cousins of dentists Isbir Khalil and Abraham Khalil (along with two other cousins Samuel Bashur and Kamel Melhim) seem to be also physician Bashur Bashur and dentist Anis/Anise Bashur who also lived in Cook, Illinois and in Irwin, Pennsylvania as I will elaborate in my next message.
Bashur I Bashur (Bashur Ilias/Elias Bashur) (b. 1877 in Tripoli, Lebanon) and Anis Bashur (b. 1878 in Tripoli, Lebanon) were the older brothers of Zerefeh Bashur, the first female physician in the Levant. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zerefeh_Bashur
Anis I Bashur was the father of Dr. Fouad Bashour, the doctor who treated John F. Kennedy and Lee Harvey Oswald when they were both shot. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fouad_Bashour
More can be read about this family in this link in Arabic (found in Zerefeh’s wikipage also) https://mo7it.yoo7.com/t6879-topic
Some pedigree here.
Abraham K Bashur, brother of Isbir Khalil Bashur, immigrated in 1895 and lived in Irwin, Pennsylvania in 1906 according to his passport application https://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?indiv=1&dbid=1174&h=467035&tid=&pid=&queryId=33e560705be98faea3ca44267592e931&usePUB=true&_phsrc=bVu497&_phstart=successSource
In Abraham K Bashur WWI draft of 1917 in Chicago, Cook, Illionis a Sam Bashur of Pennsylvania that resided in McKeesport Ward 6, Allegheny, PA is mentioned who seems to be his cousin https://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?indiv=1&dbid=6482&h=9570338&tid=&pid=&queryId=21cd9727a163c6f52a1110a5dc1ed87d&usePUB=true&_phsrc=bVu468&_phstart=successSource (requires subscription)
This Sam/Samuel Bashur (1882-1957) cousin of Isbir and Abraham was also born in Safita, Syria to Melham Bashur and Susan Mackool https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:K33J-7BY to a Greek Orthodox family as seen in his obituary in El Paso, Texas here https://www.ancestry.com/discoveryui-content/view/502619610:61843 (requires subscription)
It seems that brother of Sam/Samuel Bashur was Kamel Khalil Milhem (b.1895 in Safita) https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:K6NL-2W5 who lived in Detroit, Michigan in 1930 as seen in https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:X79V-T8M and whose parents where Kalil Milhem and Susan Mackool https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:N31K-VMQ
Sam Bashar/Bashur is seen as the informant in 1925 in Detroit, Wayne, Michigan (where is brother Kamel Khalil Melhim resided in 1925) of the death of an Assad Bashar (1840-1925) (very likely the grandfather of all the mentioned cousins here) who was born in Tripoli, Lebanon, son of Andre Bashar and Zahra Bashar https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:KF4M-4LF The act with Sam (Samuel?) Bashar’s name can be seen here https://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?indiv=1&dbid=60872&h=600500750&tid=&pid=&queryId=ade65af031f37ac797f2716a5361b1ef&usePUB=true&_phsrc=bVu537&_phstart=successSource (requires subscription).
Bashour Bashour and his younger brother Anis who immigrated in 1898 and had a cousin in Chicago, Illinois (117 Palk Street?). It is highly likable that cousin was Abraham Khalil Bashur who immigrated in 1895 and lived in Cook, Chicago, Illionis https://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?indiv=1&dbid=7488&h=4009458077&tid=&pid=&queryId=b1ebb6cefbe48ad80fa1f62694c85d3b&usePUB=true&_phsrc=bVu496&_phstart=successSource
Anis/Anees Bashour appears with his older brother Bashour Bashour (b.1874) in Chicago in 1900 as lodgers https://www.ancestry.com/discoveryui-content/view/10619960:7602?tid=&pid=&queryId=8639a5f3c5e3ef8184f120717fc1957e&_phsrc=bVu484&_phstart=successSource
They resided in Cook, Illinois in 1903 according to his naturalization act here https://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?indiv=1&dbid=1629&h=3794678&tid=&pid=&queryId=b1ebb6cefbe48ad80fa1f62694c85d3b&usePUB=true&_phsrc=bVu501&_phstart=successSource
Bashur Ilias/Elias Bashur was born in Tripoli, Lebanon in March 25th, 1877, immigrated to US in 1898 and was a physician according as seen in his passport application in Irwin, Pennsylvania in 1904 https://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?indiv=1&dbid=1174&h=1121617&tid=&pid=&queryId=b1ebb6cefbe48ad80fa1f62694c85d3b&usePUB=true&_phsrc=bVu495&_phstart=successSource
Bashur’s younger brother Anis/Anise Bashur was born in Tripoli, Lebanon in 1878, immigrated to US in 1898 and was also a dentist as seen in his passport application of 1906 in Pittsburg here https://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?indiv=1&dbid=1174&h=832955&tid=&pid=&queryId=8639a5f3c5e3ef8184f120717fc1957e&usePUB=true&_phsrc=bVu483&_phstart=successSource
Another cousin of the last 6 mentioned is also Isbir Michael Bashur born in Jan 12th, 1892, son of the Michael Bashur who is mentioned in https://mo7it.yoo7.com/t6879-topic, who arrived to Chicago, Illinois in 1912 according to this immigration act https://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?dbid=7488&h=4041632017&indiv=try&o_vc=Record:OtherRecord&rhSource=1002
Isbir Michael’s draft registration of 1917 in Pittsburg says he was born in Safita, Syria https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:K6KF-P9D He was married to a Samira, and resided in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania in 1920 https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QV5B-4KT5 (index page wrongly says he was born in 1872).
These acts reinforce that all 7 Bashurs were cousins and the family came originally from Tripoli, Lebanon and settled in Safita as well in 1880 possibly due to the Mount Lebanon Civil War of 1860.
Son of Bashur Bashur (or Bashur Bashour) and cousin of Dr. Fouad Bashour was also another prominet doctor Dr. Samuel Bashour (Saftia, 1920-Texas, 2014) https://www.legacy.com/obituaries/name/samuel-bashour-obituary?pid=171407931

can you note that she’s sometimes described as having Choctaw ancestry?
