Steve Mokate is an American actor and producer. He is known for his roles on the series American Crime, The Leftovers, and Better Call Saul, among others.

Steve’s paternal grandfather was Herman J. Mokate (the son of Anthony Mokate and Hannah A. McGarvey). Herman was born in Pennsylvania. Anthony was born in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, the son of Hermannus Mokate and Maria Johanna de Jong. Hannah was born in Paisley, Scotland, the daughter of John McGarvey and Margaret Gilmour.

Steve’s paternal grandmother was Ellen Margaret Curran (the daughter of George Abraham Joseph Curran and Catherine “Kate” Ryan). Ellen was born in Illinois. George was born in Illinois, the son of Daniel W. Curran, who was from Scotland, and of Elizabeth Payne, whose parents were Irish.
