Stan Musial was an American baseball outfielder and first baseman. He played Major League Baseball, and is in the Hall of Fame. He was nicknamed Stan the Man.

He was the son of Mary (Lancos) and Lukasz Musiał. His father was Polish. His mother was of Carpatho-Rusyn descent. He was married to Lillian Susan Labash, until her death. The couple had four children.

Stan’s paternal grandfather was named Jan or Piotr Musiał.
