Sean’s paternal grandfather was James Crawford Clements (the son of John Clements and Lulu Brown). James was born in Saskatchewan, Canada. Sean’s great-grandparents John and Lulu were listed as “English” and “Irish,” respectively, on the Canadian Prairie Provinces 1926 Census. John was the son of George Clements and Mary Lowry. Lulu was the daughter of James Brown and Ethel.

Sean’s paternal grandmother was Ilene Helen Batterson (the daughter of William Batterson/Patterson and Grace). Ilene was born in either Saskatchewan or Ontario, Canada. William was born in Scotland. Grace was born in Ontario.

Sean’s maternal grandmother was Esther Mae Dunphy (the daughter of Owen Patrick Dunphy and Catherine “Kate” Ross). Esther was born in Massachusetts. Owen was born in Massachusetts, the son of Patrick Dunphy, who was Irish, and of Bridget Harvey, who was born in England, to Irish parents. Catherine was born in Massachusetts, to Irish parents, William John Ross and Bessie Mary Connelly.
