Roger Staubach is an American professional football player. He was a quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL). He is nicknamed “Roger the Dodger,” “Captain America,” and “Captain Comeback.” He also started a real estate company, The Staubach Company.

Roger is the son of Elizabeth and Robert Staubach. He is married to Marianne, with whom he has had five children.

Roger’s paternal grandfather was David Thomas Staubach (the son of George Staubach and Mary Anne Mulligan). David was born in Indiana. Mary Anne was the daughter of Irish parents, Thomas Mulligan and Maria “Mary” Farrell.
