His uncle, Miguel Ángel Nadal, is a professional footballer, who played for Barcelona and internationally represented Spain. He speaks Spanish and Mallorquín, a dialect of Catalan.
Rafael is married to María Francisca (Mery) Perelló Pascual, with whom he has a son.

“classic Spaniard” LMAOOOOOOOOO my man, I hail from the same island as him, he looks NOTHING like the local population (ofc there’s are a couple people like him here and there), which is predominantly from Catalan descent, Catalans are probably the most pan-European Spaniards, most have fair skin, or very fair olive skin at most, light brown hair, etc.
Nadal looks NOTHING like your average Spaniard, at least not from anywhere else than the south, let alone like your average Catalan.

We’ve got a ton of pictures from 2008-2011. There’s nothing necessarily wrong with that. This one looks perfectly fine, unlike the unusual KJ Apa one.
Both Nadal’s and KJ’s pics are fine.
KJ’s photo is fine. Rafa’s one is fine too, just old. People gets old. Big deal.
I’d prefer to use much more recent pictures, when possible.

The Nadal side are Spanish I’ve seen his father, uncles, cousins, and Nadal grandparents and none of them he resembles. He inherited that unique facial features, mousy button nose look from his mother side. Not much is known from mom side but her surname spelling Perera is Portuguese in origin opening a lot of doors for Rafa’s other half being Other than Spanish…
