Michelle lived with her mother in the Dominican for a few years during her childhood, then Puerto Rico, and Jersey City, New Jersey.

Michelle’s paternal grandfather was Juan Valerio Rodríguez González (the son of Zenón Rodríguez Vargas and Pilar González Cruz). Zenón was the son of Reyes Rodríguez and María Josefa Vargas López. Pilar was the daughter of Francisco González and Josefa Cruz Camacho.
Michelle’s paternal grandmother is the daughter of Juan Santiago Rodríguez and Juana Santiago Santiago. Michelle’s great-grandfather Juan was the son of Juan Santiago Pérez and Juana Rodríguez Vargas; Juana was the sister of Michelle’s great-grandfather Zenón Rodríguez Vargas, making Michelle’s paternal grandparents first cousins, once removed. Michelle’s great-grandmother Juana Santiago Santiago was the daughter of Loreto Santiago Rivera and María Higinia Santiago López.
Michelle’s maternal grandfather was named Alfredo Pared (the son of Victoria Pared).

Wow most people on this thread are really dumb and ignorant. First of all 25% would make someone a quadroon 21% is not equal to 25%. She’s just a smidgen over 1/5 black. Now of course she doesn’t look black. According to her admixture, neither of her parents are black. Chris Rock is 20% white and he doesn’t look white. The average latino has some African ancestry. This isn’t unusual. People quoting the one drop rule are either uninformed or racist. That rule shouldn’t be applied to anything since it was made up by racist supremacist. Zoe Saldana is not black latino, she is mixed latino. there are actual black latinos who are over 80% black. Zoe Saldana is likely no more than 55% black african.
Michelle Rodriguez is about as mixed as Jessica Alba who is only 1/4 native. While she could call herself mixed with over 25% admixture, she is mostly white.

So no, she doesn’t identify as black and she doesn’t look 75% black. 75% black is like Angela Basset or Gabrielle Union. Zoe is probably 45% African (with North African so actually around 40% West African), 50% Euro and 5% taína. Look at her mother who is mostly white.

No she was talking to the Dominican press, in the DR. She clearly stated that she hated that they continuously ask her the same questions over and over.
