Julianne Hough is an American dancer, singer, songwriter, and actress. Her roles include the films Burlesque, Footloose (2011), Rock of Ages, Safe Haven, Paradise (2013), Curve (2015), Dirty Grandpa, and Bigger. She was a dancer on Dancing with the Stars, and a judge on America’s Got Talent.
She is the daughter of Marianne and Bruce Hough. She is the sister of Derek Hough, also an actor and dancer. The two studied and lived in London together as teenagers.
Julianne is a second cousin of actor and singer Ross Lynch. Their maternal grandmothers are sisters.
Julianne’s paternal grandfather was Robert Virgil “Bob” Hough (the son of Virgil Hough and Margaret Maude “Peggy” Revert). Robert was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Co., Oklahoma, and was an Idaho radio personality, known as “Bubblehead Bob” and “The Voice of North Idaho.” Julianne’s great-grandfather Virgil was the son of Thomas Hough and Eva Adella Truex. Maude was the daughter of William Perry Revert and Jessie/Jesse C. Lucas, whose father was Canadian.
Julianne’s paternal grandmother is Colleen Pearl Henrietta “Cokie” Wood (the daughter of Alexander August Wood and Wilamina Bertha Tena Vredevelt/Vredeveld). Colleen was born in Washington. Alexander was the son of French-Canadian parents, Joseph DuBois, from Québec, and Marie Alzire “Lizzie” Plante, from Russell, Ontario. The family changed their name to Wood from Dubois (“bois” means “wood” in French). Wilamina was born in Everett, Snohomish, Washington, to Dutch parents, Jan/John Vredevelt/Vredeveld, from Beilen, Midden-Drenthe, Drenthe, and Henrietta/Hendrekje “Reta” Vos, from Groningen.

Don was born in Idaho, and his ancestry is English, as well as Northern Irish, Scottish, and one eighth Swedish. Vernon was the son of Jonas Sinclair Heaton and Annie/Anne Jane Harris, whose own paternal grandparents were English. Julianne’s great-grandmother Rosella was the daughter of George Franklin Cleverley/Cleverly, whose father was born in Calne, Wiltshire, England, and whose mother was born in Crookern, Somersetshire, England; and of Hannah Peterson, whose father was born in Tombäck, Blekinge, Sweden, and whose maternal grandparents were English.
Julianne’s maternal grandmother is Beth Romaine Young (the daughter of Phares Philip Young and Thelma Frandsen). Beth was born in Idaho. Phares was the son of Alfred Phillip/Philip Young and Jeanet/Janet/Jeanette Holden “Nettie” Millward, who were the children of English parents. Thelma was the daughter of Thomas Christian Frandsen, who was born in Grenaa, Randers, Denmark, and of Mary Elizabeth Haycock, whose parents were English immigrants.

correction; her eyes are grey (light blue) and her hair is light brown (brunette) (dyed ash/light blonde)
Damn boy, there’s no blondes on this earth in your view..tsk-tsk.
Oh lookie!

a naturally blonde yet white Mid-Western girl… odd but real. You know what’s even scarier that’s Hough!
So “CORRECTION!”, the girl would still be blonde even without bleach at 25. Ryan O’Neal & Michael Pitt are listed as blond with their faded, mousy hair, Why can’t she…A girl lightened her hair? *gasp* How dare she?!
correction; perhaps she was blonde once upon a time as a child as many Caucasians of European descent are, however now it has darkened to a brown colour and is most definitely not naturally blonde any more, if you’ll look properly at more recent photos of her roots;

It’s clear her hair has darkened significantly since she was a child and now that I think about it I regret actually saying it was light brown because it looks quite obviously dark at the roots, but for the sake of pleasing very contentious people such as yourself billerobreren, we shall list it as just; brown (brunette).
Now if you had taken the time to actually look this celebrity up on google images and payed close attention to more recent photos of her roots, rather than a photo of her from 20 years ago I think it would have saved us both a lot of time and effort. But as usual you chose to debate an issue for the sake of it because you seem to have a problem with my celebrity colouring corrections.
I knew that she is Swedish and Dannish.
She is so exotic looking.
it depends where you live. I’m from Europe so I cant see a blond woman as “exotic”. In China, for example, she would be exotic, not in Europe or any “white” country
She is only 1/16th Danish and 1/32 Swedish (if you look at her maternal grandfather’s mother’s genealogy). I think she looks more British Isles than anything. Just because she’s blonde doesn’t make her Nordic looking.
It’s true, she’s only 3/32 Scandinavian, and the rest pretty much British Isles.
It is such a typical Mormon genealogy, with so many recent English immigrants, and a dash of Scandinavian ancestry (all the immigrants must have been converted to the LDS church in their home countries).
I am still surprised Mitt Romney has no Scandinavian ancestry. But Jon Huntsman is 1/4.
She´s not blond, she had her hair dyed.
I knew she was part Danish
she looks typicaly English
Classic Anglo-Scot beauty… The Scandinavian heritage is visible too.
