but your idea of finding yourself on ethnic celebs and seeing your ancestry would be awesome! too bad I am not a celeb either. I have very few google searches and all of random, different people. none of myself. not enough for the admins.
Curious if anyone can find the ethnic background of Evangelical Christian pastor Steven Furtick? He self-identifies as white and was born in South Carolina, but he has a really unique look.

From what I’ve seen, everybody was white on the census.
I did an ancestry/familysearch combo before you asked this actually. He’s English, with some degree of either German and/or Swiss, and some of the surnames were Scottish but I couldn’t trace any lines back to Scotland. Bablah’s right though, all his family was white, and he looks a lot like his mother.

He has a unique bone structure for someone who is supposed to be just European. No beard pics show primitive Cro-Magnon features, unless that is not his biological father. He passes for a Brazilian person with some African ancestry to me.
Tried to trace the ancestry of Carter Burwell, composer of the Twilight movies among others. Didn’t write up a post because finding out his ancestors (one of whom was a first cousin of Robert E. Lee) were filthy rich landowners who owned hundreds of slaves threatened to destroy my mental health.
Well that is not something special, even though “hundreds” may be a huge amount.
Tbh he is more famous for his work with Coen brothers. Not a fan of the genre, but the first Twilight wasn’t bad.
