How many accounts that disabled girl (“Muricans”) is allowed to do? Kick her out.
Attention everyone especially admins,
Some celebrities request deletion of their profile, as well as some of their immediate family members, on Geni. I won’t be mentioning names with respect to applicable data privacy laws, particularly in the United States, most specifically right to be forgotten law. If there are credible removal requests from celebrities themselves, you guys will have to comply such deletion requests.
If you need names to have their profiles delete here on Ethnicelebs, I will. But, you will have to delete my comment as soon as you get their names.
I hope you all understand why celebrities don’t want their profile to be posted on sites, such as Geni and here on Ethnicelebs.
Manila, your post makes no sense. Famous people usually have wikipedia profiles of them which include early life, birth date, ethnic origins, etc. are they now going to say wikipedia delete that even though they are in the public eye? If they are very unknown it makes sense but this request is nonsense.

I searched some celebs on Geni years ago and they were still there. But now, they’re gone. I’ll be mentioning names if you want, but you will have to delete my comment if I mention them with respect to the strict right to be forgotten law, which is part of data privacy law.
So if you guys are receiving credible removal requests, then you will have to comply with their requests to avoid getting litigated. It’s much better that these let these people be forgotten if so.
Yes if they want their information removed they can directly message through this website. I sometimes get emails from celebs or family members who want their family information removed.
Just as a general musing I wonder what the impetus for such are requests are?
Literally wanting to be forgotten, perceived threats to safety, avoidance of what they consider shameful/embarrassing heritage or infidelity, or wanting disassociation from relatives they’ve disowned.
My assumption is that it’s most likely a privacy/safety issue, more often than not, but the others are in the realm of possibility.
@passingtime85, I really doubt anyone significant in the public eye is worried about this website and cares what ethnicity they are shown as.
Whether or not we think they’re significant, if family trees are exposed, it could be a security threat to almost anyone, in various ways.
You’re right though most people wouldn’t care about revelations of heritage, that’s why I said security risks, are the most likely culprit, with a few more possibilities.
I like and respect you a lot Passing time so I mean no disrespect but I really can’t understand the security risk? But if they really don’t want to be on this website I guess that’s cool. the only problem is how do we know it’s really them or family member or just some random person pretending to be associated with the profile?

This site could be a valuable tool to find names that you could use to make connections to publicly accessible resources, like white pages and discover addresses.
It’s difficult to find a person’s home address but not so much non-famous relatives, if you know their names. This site consolidates family trees and historical record, this site could be invaluable as a starting point, for a stalker or someone that wants to do something nefarious.
I don’t know, good question. Ethnic and Follers have said in the past they’ve been contacted by several celebrities making requests, no idea how they vet people, but they seem fairly certain, so I guess as usual, they make the call.
