Drakeo the Ruler was an American rapper and songwriter. He was known for his singles “Talk to Me” featuring Drake and “Mr. Get Dough.” His rap name comes from ancient Greek lawmaker, Draco. His brother, Devante Caldwell, is a rapper named Ralfy the Plug.

Drakeo’s mother, Darrylene Corniel, is of African-American, three eighths Puerto Rican, and one eighth Chinese, descent. Drakeo’s father is publicly unknown, and was likely African-American. He was raised in South Los Angeles. Drakeo had one child.

Drakeo’s maternal grandfather was Samuel Corniel (the son of Marcelino Monte/Corniel and Angelina Ah Yo Ah Tin). Samuel was born in Hawaii. Marcelino was born in Hawaii, the son of Antonia Quinones, who had emigrated to Hawaii from Puerto Rico; and of either Ignacio Corniel or Santiago Monte, who were both from Puerto Rico. Drakeo’s great-grandmother Angelina was born in Hawaii, the daughter of Ah Yo Ah Tin, who was from China, and of Maria Farias, who was from Puerto Rico.

Drakeo’s maternal grandmother was Barbara Berkely (the daughter of Braxton Holmes Berkely and Thelma L. Harper). Barbara was born in Los Angeles, and was African-American. Braxton was born in Illinois, the son of Braxton Burnett Berkely and Sophia Jane Holmes. Thelma was born in Texas, the daughter of George Wesley Harper and Naomi A. Oliver.
