    She looks like Diane Sawyer.

Bablah is either not interested or pissed off maybe.

Cosulich, Vidulich and Gladulich (mispelled above) are Italian families from Lussino (now Lošinj), so there is not much to debate.

  3. andrew says:

Austria was the country. I think Italian indicates the family spoke Italian, otherwise there would have been written either Croatian or Slovenian.

The Cosulichs are usually Italian-speakers and are recorded since the 1500s: https://it.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cosulich

It says “Italian,” but it also says “Austrian.”

Anyway, I’m leaving all the Croatian related designations to bablah to settle.

  5. andrew says:

Her paternal grandmother’s family was not “Croatian” but Italian with such surname (the known Cosulich family from Lussino, see Michael Bublé).

U.S. Census lists Emma’s parents place of birth as “Aust-Italian”: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:33SQ-GRKP-9RQ?i=43&cc=1727033&personaUrl=%2Fark%3A%2F61903%2F1%3A1%3AMGW6-2CP
