Camila Morrone is an Argentinian-American model and actress. She has had leading roles in the films Never Goin’ Back, Death Wish, Mickey and the Bear, and Valley Girl (2020), and on the series Daisy Jones & The Six.

She is the daughter of Argentinian parents, Lucila Solá (born Lucila Polak), an actress, and Máximo Morrone. They moved to California in the mid 1990s. Her uncle (mother’s brother) is lawyer Federico Gabriel Polak. Her great-aunt was pathologist Julia Polak. Her father is of one half Italian, one quarter Romanian, and one quarter Spanish, descent. Her mother is of half Ashkenazi Jewish and half Slovenian descent.

Camila’s paternal grandfather was Eugenio Morrone Peter (the son of Vicente/Vicenzo Morrone Fiore and María Peter Glodian). Eugenio was born in Romania. Vicenzo was from Naples, Italy, the son of Salvador Morrone and Teresa Fiore. María was born in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

Camila’s paternal grandmother was Adriana Cremaschi Alsina (the daughter of Angel Luis Cremaschi and Maria Luisa Alsina Sánz). Adriana was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Angel was Italian. Maria Luisa was born in Mendoza, Argentina, the daughter of Spanish parents, Luis Alsina and Petra Sánz.

Camila’s maternal grandfather is Federico Gabriel Polak, a politician (the son of Carlos Polak and Rebeca Mactas Alpersohn). Federico was Jewish. Carlo was born in Buenos Aires, and is a lawyer and judge. He is the son of Russian Jewish parents, Miguel Polak and Eva Bove Ratzer. Rebeca was born in Buenos Aires, and is a writer. She is the daughter of Isaac Mactas and Nanie Alpersohn, whose father was from Kam’yanets’-Podil’s’kyi, Khmel’nyts’ka oblast, Ukraine and whose mother was from Austria. Federico’s sister was pathologist Julia Polak.

Camila’s maternal grandmother is named Mariana Skulj. All of Mariana’s grandparents were Slovenian. Mariana’s paternal grandparents were Edvard Skulj, who was born in Ponikve, Sežana, and Marija Krek, who was born in Turjak, Ljubljana. Mariana’s maternal grandparents were Franc Dolsina, who was born in Brankovo, Ljubljana, and Francka Mihelcic.

    Perhaps create a category for Jewish Argentines. Especially since Argentina has the most Jews in Latin America. While Brazil having the second largest.

    I’d advise against putting everything under Argentinian here. If every ethnicity can be part of a broader Argentinian group, then the word becomes useless.
