His roles include the films Super 8, No One Lives, The Signal (2014), You’re Not You, Run All Night, What Lola Wants, Southpaw, The Gift (2015), The Finest Hours, Vincent N Roxxy, The Nice Guys, Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk, Sand Castle, Death Wish (2018), Measure of a Man, Destroyer, Crypto, Semper Fi, American Skin, Black and Blue, Ida Red, and Mosquito State, and the show Dan Brown’s The Lost Symbol.

He is the son of Noelle and producer Harry Knapp.

Beau’s maternal grandfather is Dennis Rodney Newell (the son of Frank/Franklin Carr Newell and Eva Blanche Billingsley). Dennis was born in Illinois. Frank was the son of Thomas William Newell, who was Irish, and of Ida Mae/May Carr. Eva was the daughter of Nathan Wesley Billingsley and Bertha May Anderson.

Beau’s maternal grandmother was Constance Jane Oberlies (the daughter of Elmer Sye Oberlies and Loretta Jane Condon). Constance was born in Iowa. Elmer was the son of Charles Christian Oberlies, whose parents were German, and of Ruth Louise Dover. Loretta was the daughter of James Alexander Condon and Vera Margaret Strack.
