  2. anakaren says:

I think one of her parents it’s white!!

    • Lisette says:

Man stop hating. We’ve seen her parents she’s black theirs nothing to it. Half of my brothers and sisters are lighter than her, and my parents are dark and brown. She’s obviously wearing light make up yet this still has little to do with her being light. DAMN some of us are light while others are brown and dark GET OVER IT. You would know this if you were black. If she walked down my street right now no one would question whether she was mixed or not cause we used to seeing light people that are black you aren’t….lmao

  3. Multiethnicchick says:

Let’s end this debate and just say that everyone in the world is African American, problem solved. That way all the butt hurt people who are sensitive about people not claiming even 1% of “blackness, won’t be offended.

    • Lisette says:

She’s black to us cause we no what black looks like you don’t. You just see what’s in the media. Most of them bleach their skin anyways but they know what they are.

  4. sashafierce564 says:

She is african American and everybody knows it

  5. brittney says:

Her mothrer is dominican there are white dominicans and latino one’s and black ones with more black blood her mother is a BLACK dominican so that makes her 50% black and only 25% asian so if you went to school 50%is greater then 25% so she is mostly BLACK! most blacks are mixed anyways no black person is fully black african except for the africans that live in africa all of the African Americans that live in america are half white due to slave masters rapping them no matter how dark there complexion is but we claim black because its are roots so Ashanti is Black!!!

    • roots says:

the comments are so true! but so sad that when so-called-100% black people in the west are surprised when they have a light skin to white skin child. when both the parents are black! just because you skin is black on the surface does not mean that you wont have a white person blood inside you!

its a shame not enough black people research there history! because the media only sees Black & white! but no one is just one or the other!

    • NINA DEBREV IS A GYPSY says:

      HAHAHAH NO

DOMINICANS ARE OF BLACK AND SPANISH

      DECENT

    • hmph says:

omfg thank you brittney!! people are so stupid (especially on this site!) They come here and say, “x and y are not black” when they don’t even know what black is! It’s always someone who’s not black telling us we are not black. Umm yes the hell we are. Even the darkest people in America have mixture (a lot of us know this). Example? Don Cheadle has like 20 % european ancestry and his genetic make up doesn’t even look like that’s possible! People don’t know genes are tricky. You can’t determine race by skin color! Eva Longoria thought she would be more Native American than European. And would you look at that, black was part of her genetic make up! Don Cheadle is still black, because 80% outweighs 20%! Do the math people. They only try to claim you when you’re successful. If you are ghetto, in a gang, etc, they say “oh those (you know what)”. This is the part that pisses me off.

I bet most of you don’t even know your own genetic make up! You think you know, but you don’t! Learn more about yourself before you start stating what someone else is….

Brittney – just because her mother is Dominican doesn’t mean she’s “just black”. For all you know her mother could be biracial, like most of us Dominicans (black and white). 73% of the Dominican population is mulatto (black and white), therefore you do not have all the facts to make your claims. Her mother is more than likely a black and white Dominican. Making Ashanti, black, white and Asian – triracial. Your percentages are off hun, you wouldn’t know these percentages without a proper ancestral DNA test. Try again.

      She’s a niqqer ! Y’all madd??

    • Tribe says:

Not just africans outside of Africa are mixed, it was a surprise to me to learn that many many Ghanaians have Dutch or English ancestry, there is no such thing as a “pure race”.
