Alicia has said that the filmmakers of her movie The Danish Girl were:

…obsessed with me not looking Scandinavian and I was like, ‘I’m the only Scandinavian in the whole film.’ They paled my skin, to make me lighter. People say that I’m tanned, but that’s my natural color.

In an interview on Conan O’Brien’s show on May 5, 2015, Conan told Alicia,

there’s a misconception… there’s this belief that everyone who’s Swedish has blonde [hair], blue eyes… clearly you’re proof that that’s not the case.

Alicia replied,

I always get that question… where are your parents really from?… Do you know where your dad’s from?… [My parents] are both from very small villages, from up north and south of Sweden… I’m a quarter Finnish, but that doesn’t really make me much darker.

Alicia’s paternal line can be traced back to her seventh great-grandfather, Clement Clementsson.

Alicia’s paternal grandfather was Erik Yngve Vikander (the son of Lars Erik Vikander and Hilda Kristina Eriksson). Alicia’s grandfather Erik was born in Smedjebacken, Norrbärke, Dalarna County,. Alicia’s maternal grandfather was Anders Gustaf Edvard Fahl (the son of Gustaf Adolf Fahl and Anna Margareta Heideman/von Heideman). Alicia’s grandfather Anders was born in Annedal, Göteborg och Bohus, Sweden. Along with Swedish, Anders also had a small amount of Baltic German ancestry, and descent from Finland-Swedish nobility. Alicia’s great-grandfather Gustaf was the son of Erik Gustaf Georg Anders Henrik Fahl and Maria Andersdotter. Alicia’s great-grandmother Anna was the daughter of Georg Carl Fredrik Heideman/von Heideman and Gustafva Katarina Ulrika Raab.

My ancestry is mostly French, Swiss German & Swedish… sounds like a typical ‘snowflake’ right? My skin tand extremely easy & hardly ever burn (maybe 1 or 2x when I was extremely young spending entire days outside in summer @ the pool). My father’s side was directly from Sweden & I look exactly like him… Dark hair, eyes & slightly darker complexion – so while many Swedes may ‘seem’ to be blonde & blue eyed – just as many are not. Though I am also a pretty tall for a chick @ 5’10” (not over 6′ as many Swedish woman are portrayed as).

The only scandinavian thing in her is the nose. Not saying everyone in nordic countries has to look like pewdiepie, but her height and olive complexion is surely strange for a almost pure scandinavian. Would not be suprised if we finded some east and southern european on her background.

    • NOTREALLY says:

Please, refrain from posting on this site, mutt

      • jonasbttencourt says:

Nope. You can keep crying, pizza guy. Crazy how people ask for my ban on this site while you keep ofending pretty much everyone who says something you don’t like. And by the way, yes im a mutt in some way, pretty much everyone is at some extent, Alicia is one of them. The fact that you call people this name as an insult really says alot about you. “You” hahah don’t even know if it’s a actual person lol… It’s a real possibility giving the tone of your comments here. I really feel sorry for you.

She’s 5’6. That’s over the 5’4 average and certainly not petite. I have a cousin who’s half Norwegian and half Irish/English/German is 5’7 and looks just like this girl

    • Svenpetersen says:

East Europeans tend to be Slavic, with not only Nordic features but also Scandinavian genes – unless they’re mixed with gypsies.

Her parents must’ve had her later in life. She looks more like a granddaughter to them.

People on this site think that only those born in Europe have to be Blonde. It’s the biggest test of ignorance I’ve ever seen on the Internet. Alicia is extremely white, because of the DNA and features of the face, fine nose, etc! This color is because of the tan! Her whole family has only white! Even with her Latin appearance she is white, although there are countless Latinos whiter than her, blond and blue-eyed. In Denmark, Finland and Norway there are children of blond parents born with this phenotype of brown eyes or slightly darker hair, similar to that of Jon Snow. None of this is so strange in those regions.

She’s super pale as hell. Look at her childhood pics. She just tans. Now is “white”? Well I guess it depends on you. Clearly with her spray tan it appears people doubt her own ancestry.. so. Eh. Many online use to debate where she was from LOL.

you just know it all, huh?

      all hail to THIS tool..

    • Henry Builder says:

Such a weird racist american way of thinking to believe that all people of white race have to be completely pale otherwise they’re not white.
Same as black people can have a lighter skin tone white people can have a darker one.
She didn’t use any spray tan, that is her actual skin color and she isn’t even that dark. You must be very pale.
For the record I’m not saying you’re american or a racist. What I’m saying is that this is a racist way of thinking very common in what might be the world’s capital of racism, a nation in a constant race war, the nation of U S A.
