Wesley Sneijder is a Dutch professional footballer. A midfielder, he played for Ajax, Real Madrid, Inter Milan, Galatasaray, Nice, and Al-Gharafa, and the Dutch national team.

He is the son of Sylvia Thiele and Barry Sneijder. His siblings are professional footballers Jeffrey Sneijder and Rodney Sneijder. He is married to Spanish-Dutch actress, model, and television host Yolanthe Cabau. He has two children, including a son with Yolanthe. Wesley converted to Roman Catholicism while with Yolanthe.

Wesley’s paternal grandmother was a Greek woman, born in Kavala. She moved to Utrecht before WWII.

Wesley’s maternal grandfather was named Wim Thiele.

Wesley’s maternal grandmother was named Cornelia.
