Vinnie Jones is a British actor and professional footballer. A defensive midfielder, he played for Wealdstone, IFK Holmsund, Wimbledon, Leeds United, Sheffield United, Chelsea, and Queens Park Rangers, and the Wales national team. Since his retirement from football, he has capitalised on his tough image in film, often being typecast as violent criminals and thugs.

He is the son of Glenda and Peter Jones. Vinnie qualified to represent Wales via a Welsh grandparent. Vinnie was married to Tanya Terry, until her death, with whom he has two children. Tanya was formerly married to footballer Steve Terry.

Vinnie’s maternal grandfather’s surname was Harris.
