Her father is of half Jewish and half British Isles [including Irish] descent. Her mother is of Ashkenazi Jewish and Sephardi Jewish descent. Shoshana was raised Jewish, in Portland, Oregon.

Shoshana’s paternal grandfather was Milton Bean (the son of Earl Bean and Tillie/Tellie Josephson). Milton was born in Washington, to a Lithuanian Jewish father and a Russian Jewish mother. Earl was the son of Jacob Bean, or of Zalman Boon Bean and Ruche Malia Mollly.

Shoshana’s paternal grandmother was Charlotte Marcheta King (the daughter of Harold Edward King and Charlotte C. Roe). Shoshana’s grandmother Charlotte was born in Washington, and likely converted to Judaism. Harold was the son of Joseph King, whose mother was from Ireland, and of Eula/Eulah Edith Dumars.

Shoshana’s maternal grandfather was named Edward “Eddie”/Ed Moskowitz. Edward was born in New York.

Shoshana’s maternal grandmother was Salva/Sylvia Denise Shemarya (the daughter of Jack/Jacob Shemarya and Rachel Capelouto). Salva was born in Oregon, to Sephardi Jewish parents, from the island of Rhodes, Ottoman Empire, now Greece. They spoke Ladino, Judaeo-Spanish, as a first language. Jack was the son of Joshua Shemarya and Behora Cohen. Rachel was the daughter of Estraya Menashe.
