Rubens’ paternal grandfather is Rubens “Rubão” Barrichello (the son of Jacob “Pio Cheu” Barrichello and Maria Marim Fernandes). Jacob was the son of Giovanni Barrichello, who was from Riese Pio X, province of Treviso, Veneto region, Italy.

Rubens’ maternal grandmother was named Izaura.
