Rhys Wakefield is an Australian actor and director. His roles include the films The Black Balloon, Broken Hill, Sanctum, Nobody Walks, The Purge, +1, After the Dark, Endless Love (2014), Echoes of War, Cardboard Boxer, Paint It Black, and You Get Me, and television’s Home and Away, True Detective, Reprisal, and The First Lady.

His father is in the navy, and his mother is a medical standards officer.

    It’s plausible to think he may have Welsh ancestry of some sort (not a definitive thing, though)
