Princess Sofia, Duchess of Värmland is the wife of Prince Carl Philip, Duke of Värmland.

She is the daughter of Marie Britt Rotman, a plastics industry marketing manager, and Erik Oscar Hellqvist, an employment counselor. Her father was born in Denmark, to Swedish parents. Her mother was born in Älvdalen, Dalama, Sweden. Princess Sofia has been a glamour model and reality television contestant. She has three children with Prince Carl.

Princess Sofia’s paternal grandfather was Stig Ingvar Hellqvist (the son of Erik Andreas Emanuel Hellqvist and Frida Kristina Fredriksson). Stig was born in Malmö, Hylte Limhamn, Skåne, Sweden. Erik was the son of Anders Fredrik Hellqvist and Anna Charlotta Eriksdotter. Frida was the daughter of Joel Fredrik Snygg and Johanna Magnusdotter.
