Penélope was born in Alcobendas, Madrid, Spain, the daughter of Eduardo Cruz, a retailer and auto mechanic, from Alonchel, Extremadura, and Encarna Sanchez, a hairdresser and personal manager, from Andalusia. She is the sister of actress Mónica Cruz, and Eduardo, a singer. Penélope and Monica have designed clothing for Mango. Penélope has volunteered in Uganda and India.
She is married to actor Javier Bardem, with whom she has two children.
One article stated that Penélope has some Romani ancestry:

Where do gypsies originate from, Ethnic? I’m just wondering.
From my understanding,they may have originated in North Africa,then migrated to the middle east on to India.Then into Europe,and later in the U.S;or something like that.

It’s not “pure speculation”. They have mixed over the centuries, obviously, but some Romani people still look Indian to this day, and the main language is related to some Indian languages. There’s also some newer genetic research that show that for most Romani groups they have paternal origin in India.

People from Spain arent white there hispanic/latino or whatever you want to call it but you know what i mean by hispanic/latino. Where did you get they were White? Just because Spains in Europe doesnt mean there White, Brazils in South America but its nots hispanic/latin. Point is that placement doesnt MATTER! Ethnic background does & if it wasnt for Spain conquering countries like Mexico, there would be none of the hispanic/latin countries that exist today(mexico,puerto rico,americas,cuba,most of south america) would not be hispanic/latin if Spain didnt give them there Native language which is Spanish which what makes those countries latino/hispanic. Techiniccly speaking Spains more hispanic/latin then any other hispanic/latin country i listed above. Because withot Spain they wouldnt exist & countries like Mexico would still be Aztec Indians & not latin!
People from Spain are white. White is just a race. You do realize people can be white and be Hispanic/Latino? Hispanic/Latino has nothing to do with your race. Zoe Saldana is black racially, but she is also Hispanic/Latino because she comes from a spanish-speaking country. That’s what Hispanic means. It means you come from a spanish-speaking country. No. Mexican is a nationality, but most of its population is mestizo, a mix of indigenous, European, and even African, so you are probably not white.
It is confusing and not that important, actually. It’s much easier to identify by your ethnicity or your nationality, but America loves to classify people by race.
So what are Spanish speaking countries considered? Like for example Germans,Irish,English,etc are white. Africans,Jamaican,etc are Black. Chinese,Japanese,Philipino,etc are Asian. So what are Mexicans,Puerto Ricans,South Americans,Cubans,etc classified as? -thanks

I am spaniard but I have a hard time Identifying my self because in the U.S your either
