Nicole Scherzinger is an American recording artist, dancer, television personality, and actress. She was the lead vocalist of The Pussycat Dolls, a band whose members also included Carmit Bachar, Kaya Jones, Ashley Roberts, Jessica Sutta, Melody Thornton, and Kimberly Wyatt, as well as Asia Nitollano. She has also been credited as Nicole Kea.
She is the daughter of Rosemary Elikalani (Frederick) Scherzinger and Alfonso A[lueta] Valiente, Jr. Her father is Filipino, from the Batanes Islands in the Philippines. Her mother has Native Hawaiian, Ukrainian, and Polish, ancestry. Her mother was a professional hula dancer. Nicole’s surname comes from her stepfather, Gary Scherzinger, who has German ancestry. She was raised partly in Louisville, Kentucky.
Nicole’s paternal grandfather was Alfonso Arca Valiente (the son of Salvador Valiente y Batiforra, or Salvador Batiforra Valiente in Filipino, and of Adriana Arca e Idel, or Adriana Idel Arca in Filipino). Nicole’s grandfather Alfonso was born in Kauai County, Hawaii, to Filipino parents, the former from Basco, Batanes. Salvador was the son of Gaspar Valiente and Martina Batiforra. Adriana was the daughter of Domingo Arca and Máxima Idel.
Nicole’s paternal grandmother was Joaquina “Jojo” Alueta y Ferido (or Joaquina Ferido Alueta in Filipino, the daughter of Juan Alueta y Amarante, or Juan Amarante Alueta in Filipino, and of Aniceta Ferido y Figura, or Aniceta Figura Ferido in Filipino). Joaquina was a Filipino emigrant, from Manila. Juan was the son of Francisco Alueta and María Amarante. Aniceta was the daughter of Mateo Ferido and Raymunda Figura.
Nicole’s maternal grandfather is John Irvin Frederick (the son of William F. Frederick and Stella Bolka). John was born in New York. William was born in Pennsylvania, the son of Polish parents, William Frederick/Fredrick and Frances Vencowski/Viencoski/Vinskowski. Stella was born in Pennsylvania, to ethnic Ukrainian parents from Ulucz, Poland, Michael Bolka and Catherine/Kathryn.
Nicole’s maternal grandmother is Katherine P. Lenchanko, now Katherine Frederick (the daughter of John Ivan Lenchanko, Sr. and Angeline Kawailani Kea). Katherine was born in Hawaii. John was the son of Nikita Demidovich/Dimidovich Lenichenko/Lenitchenko/Lesnichenko and Praskovia/Paraskovia Kuzminichna/Kuzminisha Zenchenko. They were ethnic Ukrainian emigrants, who were Russian Orthodox Christians from the Kiev region, a village called Berezno. Nikita was one of 165 Russian and Ukrainian immigrants in Hawaii who wished to return to his native country, and sent an application for that. anyone who says things like, “she looks hawaiian” obviously doesn’t know what a full hawaiian looks like—they look a lot like samoans or any other polynesian people. the Native Hawaiians who are mixed (most native hawaiians are mixed and then mixed some more) with asian, filipino, white, etc. that’s just what a mix looks like–NOT a full Native Hawaiian.

The aboriginal tribal people of the phillipines is Negritos , these people look African and some mixed into the Phillipino populations to make modern day Phillipinos that’s why many of them look black and have varying skin tones.
I think her grandmother on her mum’s side is russian, Nicole definitely looks like her dad, who is filipino and she also looks hawaiian of course. Nicole said in a interview that people thought she was indian!

Ethnic Russians look European, but she’s half Filipino, and also part Polynesian, and that’s obviously why she’s dark.
Also, there’s no mixing with Chinese in Russia, except for individual rare cases like in other countries. There are Siberians in Siberia, but they are few, and there are far more Russians even in Siberia than indigenous Siberians. The largest minority group are Turkic minorities, and they’re already mixed – it’s the minorities which have Russian admixture, not the other way around, except for a minimal amount.
You can find individual Russians who have some Tartar and even some Siberian ancestry, but it’s not very common. Most Russians are not significantly mixed.

In fairness, my post was about Russians in general, not about her ancestry from Russia, because I don’t know what that is. If her origin really is from Vladivostok, which is far east Russia near China,then she could actually have all kinds of ancestries, even Korean. “Ethnic Russian” is European, but “Russian nationals” can be a bunch of different things. She’s much darker than her mother, though, so even though her mother is half Hawaiian, I would presume that the reason why she’s dark-ish must be mostly because of her dad, and/or tanning.
