Jacob was the son of German parents, Jacob Lutz and Anna. Mildred was the daughter of William H. Wilson and Camellia/Camelia/Camilla Laughlin, who were born in Pennsylvania; she had Irish and Scottish heritage.
Matilda’s paternal grandmother was Ingrid E. Haschke (the daughter of Friedrich/Frederick/Fred August Karl Ferdinand Haschke and Ludmilla Karen Plessl). Ingrid was from Austria. Friedrich was the son of Karl August Haschke.

The surname “Laughlin” is almost certainly Irish. Wilson, on the other hand, has multiple origins…

It says she was born in Austria, but I suspect she may have had another ethnicity. Ludmilla is a name of Slavic origin and “Haschke” could’ve been changed (maybe from Heszko or something).
