He has also played for Heerenveen, PSV, Jong PSV, Swansea City, Feyenoord, Twente, Sydney FC, Miedź Legnica, and Miedź Legnica II, and the Netherlands national team.
His father is Indian-Surinamese and his mother is African-Surinamese.
