Patrick Kluivert is a Dutch professional footballer, coach, and sporting director. A striker, he played for Ajax, AC Milan, Barcelona, Newcastle United, Valencia, PSV, and Lille, and the Netherlands national team. He is the manager of Süper Lig club Adana Demirspor. He has also been assistant coach of AZ, Brisbane Roar, NEC, the Netherlands national team, and the Cameroon national team, coach for Jong Twente and the Curaçao national team, youth coach for Ajax, and sporting director for Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona’s academy. He scored the winner in the 1995 UEFA Champions League Final, and was joint top scorer at Euro 2000.
His father, Kenneth Kluivert, is a professional footballer, who was born in Moengo, Suriname. His mother, Lidwina, was born in Curaçao, to a Surinamese father and a Curaçaoan mother. His parents were married in Paramaribo, and his two older siblings were born in Suriname, before the family moved to the Netherlands in 1970.
Patrick has six children, including professional footballers Justin Kluivert, Ruben Kluivert, and Shane Kluivert, the latter with Rossana Lima.
