Kyle Gass is an American singer, songwriter, musician, actor, and comedian. He is one half of comedy rock duo Tenacious D, alongside Jack Black. He is also known as K.G. and Rage Kage.

Kyle is the son of Carol and John Gass.

Kyle’s paternal grandfather was George Andrew Gass (the son of Franz Gass and Theresia Margaretha Liebler). George was born in Iowa, to German parents. Franz was the son of George Gass. Theresia was the daughter of John Philipp Liebler and Julia Anna Pfropfer.

Kyle’s paternal grandmother was Mary Veronica Konrad (the daughter of Friedrich Johann Konrad and Veronica Griesbaum). Mary was born in Iowa. Friedrich was German, and was born in Lemberg, Pirmasens (Land), Rheinland-Pfalz, the son of Johann Friedrich Konrad and Anna Maria Weiss. Kyle’s great-grandmother Veronica was born in Iowa, to German parents, Andreas Griesbaum, from Steig, Baden, and Amalia Ohnemus, from Schweighausen, Baden.

Kyle’s maternal grandfather was Loy Lee Stuckey (the son of Harvey Hosea Stuckey and Mary Catherine Moore). Loy was born in Texas. The surname Stuckey can be German or English in origin.

Kyle’s maternal grandmother was Ruth Robbins (the daughter of Elijah Prophet Robbins and Dorothy Mae/May “Dottie” Fortune). Ruth was born in California.
