Hugh Cassidy is an American metal sculptor, jazz musician, and powerlifter. He is the son of Clara Louise (McGrew) and Lewis Cochran Cassidy. Hugh is married to German immigrant, Barbara Kratzer, with whom he has had four children, including vocalist and guitarist Eva Cassidy.
Hugh was a first cousin of actor and singer Henry Gibson.
Hugh’s paternal grandfather was Hugh Gilbert Cassidy (the son of Lewis Cochran/Cochrane Cassidy and Sarah T. “Sallie” Truman). Hugh’s grandfather Hugh was born in Pennsylvania.
