Dean DeLeo is an American musician. He is the guitarist for rock band Stone Temple Pilots. Other members of the band include/have included Chester Bennington, Dean’s brother Robert DeLeo, Eric Kretz, and Scott Weiland.

Dean is the son of Virginia and Emile John DeLeo. He is married to actress and model Jenn DeLeo.

Dean’s paternal grandfather was Giuseppe Di Leo (the son of Pietro Di Leo and Maria Rosa Lisanti). Giuseppe was an Italian emigrant, from Buccino, Province of Salerno, Campania, Italy.

Dean’s paternal grandmother was Rosina Lepore (the daughter of Paolo Lepore and Maria Zitarosa). Rosina was an Italian emigrant, from Buccino.

Dean’s maternal grandfather was Clyde Leroy Jones (the son of Jared F. Jones and Stella Gertrude Fehrenbach). Clyde was born in Pennsylvania, and was of part German descent.

Dean’s maternal grandmother was Lillian L. Smedberg (the daughter of Alfred Svensson Smedberg and Maria Lovisa Andersen). Lillian’s parents were Swedish.
