Ásgeir Ásgeirsson was an Icelandic politician. He served as the second President of Iceland, from 1 August, 1952 to 1 August, 1968.

He was the son of Ásgeir Eyþórsson and Jensína Björk Matthíasdóttir. He was married to Dóra Þórhallsdóttir.

Ásgeir’s patrilineal ancestry can be traced back to his third great-grandfather, Sveinn Jónsson.

Ásgeir’s paternal grandfather was Eyþór Felixson (the son of Felix Sveinsson and Herdís Ólafsdóttir). Felix was the son of Sveinn Sveinsson and Þórey Egilsdóttir. Herdís was the daughter of Ólafur Jónsson and Ingibjörg Jónsdóttir.

Ásgeir’s paternal grandmother was Kristín Grímsdóttir (the daughter of Grímur Pálsson and Þórunn Ásgrímsdóttir). Grímur was the son of Páll Magnússon and Guðrún Hálfdánardóttir. Þórunn was the daughter of Ásgrímur Vigfússon and Sigríður Ásgeirsdóttir.

Ásgeir’s maternal grandfather was Matthías Markússon (the son of Markús Þórðarson and Þorbjörg Þorvaldsdóttir). Markús was the son of Þórður Ólafsson and Valgerður Markúsdóttir. Þorbjörg was the daughter of Þorvaldur Sveinsson and Guðrún Bjarnadóttir.

Ásgeir’s maternal grandmother was Solveig Pálsdóttir (the daughter of Páll Jónsson and Guðrún Jónsdóttir). Páll was the son of Jón Eyjólfsson and Hólmfríður Benediktsdóttir. Ásgeir’s great-grandmother Guðrún was the daughter of Jón Filippusson and Ingveldur Þorsteinsdóttir.

Ásgeir’s matrilineal ancestry can be traced back to his tenth great-grandmother, Guðrún Narfadóttir.
