Paton Ashbrook is an American actress.

Paton is the daughter of actors Lorenzo Lamas and Daphne Ashbrook, and the granddaughter of Argentinian actor Fernando Lamas and American actress Arlene Dahl. Her step-grandmother was swimmer and actress Esther Williams. Her half-siblings are actors AJ Lamas and Shayne Lamas. Her uncle, mother’s brother, is actor Dana Ashbrook, and her aunt, mother’s sister, is actress and director Taylor Ashbrook. Her great-uncle, maternal grandmother’s brother, was folk singer Sandy Paton, who co-founded folk music record label Folk-Legacy Records.

Paton’s paternal grandfather was Fernando Álvaro Lamas y de Santos (the son of Emilio Ramon Lamas and Maria E. Fernandez). Fernando was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Paton’s paternal grandmother was Arlene Carol Dahl (the daughter of Rudolph Sylvester Dahl and Idelle Ingeborg Swan). Arlene was born in Minnesota, of Norwegian descent. Rudolph was the son of Jacob/Jakob Andreas Hanson Dahl/Øksendahl, who was born in Oksendal, Bakkesogn, Vest Agder, Norway, and of Ingeborg Emma/Emily Orwoll, whose parents was Norwegian, from from Sogndal, Sogn og Fjordane. Idelle was the daughter of Norwegian parents, Johan Jensen Svangrønning, who was born in Buvika, Sør-Trøndelag, and Anne Brubakk.

Paton’s maternal grandfather was actor and director Buddy Ashbrook (born Vernon Lee Ashbrook, the son of Albert Vernon Ashbrook and Madelon Mildred Jones). Buddy was born in California. Albert was the son of Vernon Buford Ashbrook and Leota Margaret Baldwin. Madelon was the daughter of Jay Earl Jones and Luvilla/Lurrilla S. Ballman.

Paton’s maternal grandmother is actress D’Ann Paton (born Dorothy Ann Paton; the daughter of Hubert Alexander Paton and Gwendolyn Carroll Gans). Hubert was the son of Alexander Paton, who was born in Galston, Ayrshire, Scotland, and of Gertrude Beryl Pierce, whose mother was English.
