Per Gessle is a Swedish pop singer, songwriter, guitarist, and harmonicist. He has been lead singer of pop group Gyllene Tider; and one half of pop rock duo Roxette, the latter with Marie Fredriksson. Per has been the chief songwriter in both bands.
Per is the son of Gunborg Elisabet and Kurt Oskar (Johansson) Gessle. He is married to Åsa Nordin, with whom he has a son.
Per’s paternal grandfather was Karl Ragnar Tuninners (later Johansson, the son of Johan Adolf Gren, later Håkansson, and of Carolina Hedin, later Magnusdotter). Johan was the son of Håkan Gren and Ulrika Johnsdotter. Carolina was the daughter of Magnus Hedin and Anna Lisa Johansdotter Stensholm.
Per’s paternal grandmother was Gerda Matilda Karlsson (the daughter of Olof Karlsson and Anna Lovisa Jonasson). Olof was the son of Karl Andersson and Maria Svensdotter. Lovisa was the daughter of Jonas Jonasson and Anna Maria Persdotter.
Per’s maternal grandfather was Lars Reinhold Johansson (the son of Johan Enoch Petersson and Anna Lovisa Andersdotter). Johan was the son of Carl Peter Johansson and Johanna Johansdotter. Anna was the daughter of Anders Nilsson and Johanna Petersdotter.
Per’s maternal grandmother was Anna Gunborg Svensson (the daughter of Sven Peter Svensson and Anna Stina Persdotter). Sven was the son of Sven Pålsson and Anna Lena Svensdotter. Per’s great-grandmother Anna was the daughter of Per Johansson and Johanna Christensdotter.

His paternal grandfather I think was named Neville Osborne Kamen.
