Laura Marano is an American actress and singer. Her roles include the movies Bad Hair Day, A Sort of Homecoming, Lady Bird, The Perfect Date, Saving Zoë, A Cinderella Story: Christmas Wish, The War with Grandpa, and The Royal Treatment, and the shows Without a Trace, Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader?, Back to You, and Austin & Ally.

She is the daughter of actress Ellen Marano, who owns the Agoura Children’s Theatre, and Damiano Marano, a college professor. She is the sister of actress Vanessa Marano.

Laura’s maternal grandfather was John Edward Sweeney (the son of John E. Sweeney and Marie Gorse). Laura’s grandfather John was born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. He had Irish and English ancestry.

Laura’s maternal grandmother was Elsie Susan Brewster (the daughter of Herbert K. Brewster and Ella M. DePasquale). Elsie was born in Providence, Rhode Island. Herbert was the son of Robert Edward Brewster and Mildred Mary Whitmore. Ella was the daughter of Luigi/Lewis/Louis De Pasquale/DePasquale, who was Italian, born in San Marco La Catola, Foggia, Apulia; and of Vida May Briggs. Luigi’s great-great-nephew is Joseph R. Paolino, Jr., a Democratic politician, who was Mayor of Providence, Rhode Island, from April 25, 1984 to January 1991, and U.S. Ambassador to Malta, from June 9, 1994 to June 2, 1996.

    she is german, english welsh, italian, french, english, irish, and austrian too. And just because her moms maiden name was irish, it doesnt mean her mom is full irish.

      You’re right. Laura Marano is 1/32nd German. 2nd great-grandfather as listed above Robert Edward Brewster (1880) (Manhattan, NY) was the son of Emma Limbacher Peters (1857-1930). Emma was born in NYC to German parents John Theodore Peters and Louisa Limbacher. I couldn’t find her Welsh, French, and Austrian ancestry @Nikki. if you could guide us to those ancestors that would be great :-)
