She is no mulatto. Mulatto is Zoe Saldana or Halle Berry. Even look at Halle Berry’s kid and compare this lady’s children! This lady has a degree of black blood but she is not black…she is a majority of some other mix…

If you were to even scrape the surface of genetics you would be proven wrong. There is no way for your eyes to scan her and tell what her exact genetic make-up is, or better yet her children or husband. If that were possible, then there’d be no use for dna admixture tests or the Human Genome Project. Scientists have been studying genetics for a very long time and still don’t fully understand it. So I highly doubt you do. A “mulato” can me completely white, very dark, or anywhere in between. I have family members who are much blacker than Halle, Zoe, or Camila and they have children with whites that do not appear black at all. Or, if they have a couple kids, each one may look a little different. There is no blueprint for what makes a mulato, white, or black.
I’m proud of my race(s). But this site should teach you that race is pointless. It is a social construct, which is constantly changing as groups see fit. People will always perceive differences whether they are real or imagined.
People have asked me if I am: Polynesian, Asian, French?, Belizean, Brazilian, Puerto Rican, Mexican, Black & Mexican, Black & Vietnamese, Black & White, Black & Native American. I may be some of those. But every single one of my grandparents are of African descent. My whitest grandparent, doesn’t have any white parents, grandparents, or great-grandparents, I think. He is asked if he is Italian, Puerto Rican, Irish, Jewish, Chinese, etc. My black grand-parent is not as black as she looks.

Zoe Saldana is not mixed have you seen her complexion and facial features? Halle has mixed facial features Zoe has an African phenotype. Camilia looks African and Indian.
Zoe Saldana and Halle Berry look more black than the majority of mullatoes (black /whites). Zoe Saldana claims all this mixture but in reality she is majority black, she is not even half mixed. In the Dominican republic mullato means any percentage of non-black admixture. Halle Berry is a very dark mullato, that’s why she can play African American women and considers herself black anyway.

brasil has been racially mixing for centuries they look like their own race now so it’s not a matter of her being 1/2 and 1/2 it’s more complex than that and a mulatto is someone exactly equally parts AFRICAN (not black) and WHITE, and if you’re comparing american mulattos to brazilian ones you’ll come short remember most american mulatto’s white side are the northern european races like the french,english,irish..brazilians have the portuguese which is different than northern european countries, annnd there was more racial mixing in brazil between those 2 races than USA (that has to do with a smaller ration of portugues women to men in comparison to a larger amount of white colonial women that came to america, in addition to brazil being a catholic country and how the catholic church allowed racial mxing etc…)…had USA continued down that path we’d probablly look more like them. so NO just because she has african ancestors doesn’t make her a mulatto. ive seen afro-peruvians and others that look like her from south american or central american countries that are mixed with some portion of african and a latin group (ie spanish/portuguese)
Your definition of a mulatto is certainly different than how they have used it for centuries. You should also correct your “white” up there with Caucasian. According to the government who offers the “white” check box on sheets, it refers to people that are either from Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa. It has NOTHING to do with the color of a person’s skin.
And yes, she is a mulatto due to the African influence. If you want to be more complicated, if she has American Indian in her as well then she would be termed by the Spanish as a ‘chino’.
U r wrong! Most American Mullatos are mixed with European white while many Brazialians are mixed with more Spaniard blood. They looking nothing like American black and white people. Also, Middle Eastern people are Arab and are not white people, they r ethic! @MDD is correct!
Um, first of all, Spaniards are European. So I have no idea what you mean by what you say. Second of all, most Brazilians are mixed with Portuguese, not Spanish. Even more of them are mixed with or just plain are Italian. Portuguese and Italian are European as well. Brazil was colonized by the Portuguese, not the Spaniards. Also, they come from Europe, so I have no idea what you mean by “European white” when the Spaniards, Portuguese, and Italians are European and white as well.

By the way, in the United States, the GOVERNMENT considers Middle Eastern people white. They do not base their definition of white off of skin color. Socially, they are still discriminated against. In fact, the government considers anyone who is PREDOMINANTLY of European, Middle Eastern, or North African descent white.
By the way, MMD is correct in distinguishing that most American mulattos are mixed with Northern European, and NOT Southern European. However, all of those groups essentially come from Europe! Either way you cut it.
It’s funny how people consider Middle Easterner and Mediterranean people “white” when it is convienent but make racist terms toward them as well. “White” and “Black” are really just social terms. All Middle Easterners have a great degree of African blood by at least 15%. North Africans remind of Creoles they have a degree of African blood but centuries of mixing gives them a majority of Eurasian ancestry. Some southern Italians get offended if you call them white because in their mind Italians are their own category. Too me race is silly and dumb but unfortunately it is here to stay.

I live in the US and the govt. do not consider ppl from the Middle East and North Africa white… that is RIDICULOUS, many North Africans are black, countries like Sudan have a lot of black ppl. There are many black Lybians as well… I mean black like West Africans. Get your facts.
The Brazilians are not mixed with Spanish blood the Spanish have nothing to do with Brazil. Besides, only half of the country is mixed the only half is full European whether you want to believe it or not.
