Full Name: Andrew Symonds

Birth Place: Birmingham, England

Date of Birth: 9 June 1975

What Race or Ethnicity?: Caucasian and West Indian.

The Australian professional cricketer was born in England but moved to Australia when he was 3 years old. He was born to a Caucasian parent and a West Indian parent. Symonds was adopted by Ken and Barbara Symonds who are both English.

According to an article on SMH.com.au Symonds hasn’t chosen to explore his West Indian background as he is fiercely proud of his Aussie roots. However whenever he travels to the West Indies, the locals often mistake him for a Rastafarian. He admitted that he has an affinity with the West Indies.

thanks man, finding out people’s ethnic background is very addictive. Once you start you can’t stop.
