Her father, Dariusz Rosati (born Gaetano Dario Rosati), is a professor of economics, and was a member of the European Parliament. He father was born in Radom, Poland, and is of half Italian and half Polish descent. Her mother, Teresa, is a Polish fashion designer. She has a daughter with her former fiancé, orthopedic surgeon Robert Śmigielski.

Weronika’s paternal grandfather was named Angelo Rosati. Angelo was an Italian war prisoner in Poland.

Weronika’s paternal grandmother was named Wanda. Wanda was Polish.
