Terry O’Quinn is an American actor. He is known for playing The Stepfather in the horror film series and John on the show Lost, among many other roles across film and television.

His father was from Wisconsin. His mother was from Alabama. Terry was raised in Rudyard, and then Newberry, Michigan. He has two children with his former wife Lori O’Quinn.

Terry’s paternal grandfather was Patrick Quinn (the son of Arthur Quinn and Mary Jane Lee). Patrick was born in Adams, Wisconsin. Arthur was born in County Offaly, Ireland, the son of Patrick Quinn and Sarah Smith. Mary Jane was born in Wisconsin, the daughter of Irish parents, Patrick Lee, who was from Galway, and Sarah Amanda Moore.

Terry’s paternal grandmother was Margaret Catherine/K. McKillip/McKillup (the daughter of Daniel McKillip and Johanna/Joanna Walsh). Margaret was born in Yellowstone, Wisconsin, to Irish parents. Daniel was born in Antrim, the son of John McKillip and Sarah Wiley. Johanna was born in Waterford, the daughter of Michael Walsh and Katherine Devine.

Terry’s maternal grandfather was Lee/Lester Otis Martin (the son of Robert Haywood Martin and Josey Cleo Tilder Whiddon). Lester was born in Alabama. Robert was the son of Haywood Francis Martin and Sarah Ann Tharpe. Josey was the daughter of Edward Taylor David Whiddon and Nancy Jane Dykes.
