Steve Laffey is an American politician, businessperson, author, and filmmaker. As a Republican, he served as Mayor of Cranston, Rhode Island, from January 6, 2003 to January 6, 2007. He was an executive at financial investment service Morgan Keegan & Company. He narrated and wrote the documentary Fixing America.
He was a candidate for the Republican Party’s nomination for President of the United States in 2024.
Steve is the son of Mary, a night nurse, and John Laffey, a toolmaker and union steward.
