    Every time Rachel Ray talks about her heritage she only mentions sicilian. I guess she does not recognize her father side French, Welsh, and scottish. It is called being prejuidice to yourself. Alot of people do this all the time. Say they are half Polish and half German they will only say they are German. In my family we are Irish, French Canadian and English German. The men only say Irish. It is very misleading and disrespectful because without the other sides of you in my case 50% non Irish I wouldn’t be here. So there is prejuidice among whites within themselves. I mean Halle Berry’s daughter is 75% white but yet she calls her daughter black. Prejuidice is prejuidice. I mean a prejudice white southerner made the 1 percent black rule and if you believe that ignorant racist then you are just like him.

      @pat

      well we can only assume the child is 75% white,we don’t know the true makeup of both parents.I mean the father could be another one of those same self haters your talking about.However I don’t believe Halle hates her white half,because she is forever with her mother.Now I do understand what your saying,but that’s she chose to bring up her daughter,how she was brought up to think.From the new pics,she’s not whitish anymore,but that can change.Who knows how she will ID herself later.However what about the half blacks who only claim their white half like dinsel or jessica szohr who I heard myself say she was just hungarian

    i thought she was like Spanish or Mexican or somethin’

    • KnowItall says:

      yeah…I always thought she was mexican or spanish because she’s always cooking friggin tacos and nachos…lol. It’s like the actor that played the Mexican singer in La Bamba…..Lou Diamond Philips….Now I would have sworn he was Mexican or some sort of Latino …maybe a mixture of native american. He does have native american, but his father is of Scottish Irish descent and his mother is a proud filipina like you I guess…..I guess that’s where he gets his darker features…..but who would of thought….but then again I think a lot of filipinos could pass for hispanic since it was a colony of spain at one point.
