Noah Kahan is an American singer and songwriter. He released his debut album, “Busyhead,” in 2019. He was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 2023. His songs include “Hurt Somebody,” “Stick Season,” and “Dial Drunk.”

Noah is the son of Lauri, an author, who wrote parenting guides, and Joshua Kahan. His father was born in Massachusetts. His mother was born in Pennsylvania. He was raised on a tree farm, 133-acres. Noah spent his teen years in Hanover, New Hampshire.

Noah’s paternal grandfather was Richard Solomon Kahan (the son of Joseph Kahan and Xenia Kirschner). Richard was born in London, England, to a Jewish family. Joseph was born in Sebezh, Russia, to parents from Latvia. Xenia was born in Ventspils, Latvia, the daughter of Max Kirschner and Mary.
