He is the most-subscribed YouTuber, and the second-most subscribed channel, at over 200 million, and is the highest-paid YouTuber. He is known for his video “counting to 100,000.” He has also founded YouTube channels Beast Reacts, MrBeast Gaming, MrBeast 2/MrBeast Shorts, MrBeast 3, and the philanthropic Beast Philanthropy. He created virtual restaurant MrBeast Burger and food brand Feastables, and co-created fundraisers Team Trees, for the Arbor Day Foundation, and Team Seas, for Ocean Conservancy and The Ocean Cleanup. He is also known as MrBeast6000 and Jimmy Donaldson.

MrBeast was raised in Greenville, North Carolina. His parents were in the military.

MrBeast’s paternal grandfather was Charles Nelson Donaldson (the son of Jess Earl Donaldson and Mary Alice Barnes). Charles was born in Ohio. Jess was the son of Richard Bernice Elmer Donaldson and Aletha/Letha Dell “Leafy” Travis. Mary was the daughter of John Nelson Barnes and Josephine Shotts.
