Michael Vick is an American professional football player. A quarterback, he played for the Atlanta Falcons, the Philadelphia Eagles, the New York Jets, and the Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League (NFL). He was advisor coach for the Atlanta Legends.

Michael is the son of Brenda Vick and Michael Boddie. His brother is professional football player Marcus Vick. He is married to Kijafa, and has four children.

Michael’s paternal grandfather was James Edwin Boddie (the son of Lonnie Boddie and Esther Hesther/Hester). James was born in Virginia. Lonnie was the son of Green Boddie and Charlotte. Esther was the daughter of Mack L. Hesther/Hester and Carrie Charlotte Tilley.

Michael’s paternal grandmother was Ernestine Delores Buggs (the daughter of Alvin Branch and Ardelia/Adelia C. Buggs). Ernestine was born in Virginia. Ardelia was the daughter of The Rev. Willie Buggs and Anna L. Walton/Walter.

Michael’s maternal grandfather was Joseph Vick (the son of Sam/Samual Vick and Mary Louise Cotton). Sam was the son of Oliver O. “Buck” Vick and Courtney Coney Battle. Mary Louise was the daughter of Orange Cotton and Hattie A. Grimes.
