Matt Wilson is an American singer and songwriter. He is the frontman of rock band Trip Shakespeare, of which his brother, musician, singer, songwriter, visual artist, and record producer Dan Wilson, was also a member. Matt has also performed as Matt Wilson and His Orchestra, and with band The Twilight Hours.

Matt’s paternal grandfather was Ivan Edward Wilson (the son of Edgar Oslander/Osiander/Oceander Wilson and Nellie Marion Ottman). Ivan was born in Kasson, Dodge, Minnesota.
