Mariana’s paternal grandfather was Melvin Lawrence Kleweno (the son of George Christian Kleweno and Alma/Alvina M. Rischmiller/Rischmueller). Melvin was born in Washington. George was born in Kansas, to ethnic German parents, from Russia, whose ancestors moved, c. 1766, from nearby Vogelsberg, Hesse, Germany, to the Volga region, Saratov, Russia. Alma was born in Minnesota, to German parents, August Rischmiller and Maria Meier Wehmeir.

Mariana’s paternal grandmother was Anna Rebecca Lust (the daughter of John Lust and Julia Scheuerman). Anna was born in Endicott, Washington, also to ethnic German parents, from Russia, whose ancestors moved, c. 1766, from nearby Vogelsberg, Hesse, Germany, to the Volga region, Saratov, Russia. John was the son of John Philip Lust and Elisabeth Schmick.

Mariana’s maternal grandfather was named Lawrence J. Evans.

Mariana’s maternal grandmother was Marjorie M. Hisken (the daughter of Perry C. Hisken and Mabel Harris). Marjorie was born in Brooklyn, New York. Perry was born in Illinois, to Norwegian parents, Charles C. Hisken and Rignie. Mabel was the daughter of J. Nelson Harris and Alice Augusta Tisdale.
