Maria Lynn Ehrén is a Swedish-Thai beauty pageant titleholder, model, and singer. She represented Thailand in Miss Universe 2017, ending up in the Top 5.

Her father, Hans Göran Michael Ehrén, is a Swedish electrical engineer. Her mother, Chanoksuang Poonlertlarp, is a Thai former teacher at the American TESOL Institute, and is of part Chinese descent. She spent part of her childhood in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Maria’s paternal grandfather was Hans Gunnar Ehrén (the son of Karl Gunnar Johansson Ehrén and Stina Andersson). Hans Gunnar was born in Väderstad, Östergötland. Karl was the son of Carl Oscar (later Karl Oskar) Johansson and Alma Norén. Stina was the daughter of Axel Andersson and Emilia Matilda Sjöstrand.

Maria’s paternal grandmother was Alice Karolina, later Carolina, Ehmke (the daughter of John Ehmke and Annie Carolina Carlsson). Alice was born in Eskilstuna, Södermanland. John was the son of Johan Anton Ehmke and Alma Fredrika Segerström, who was a foundling and was adopted by Fredrik Segerström and Johanna Sofia Hellqvist. A picture of Anton can be seen here. Maria’s great-grandmother Annie was the daughter of Carl Johan Carlsson and Karolina (later Carolina) Larsdotter.
