Someone might want to also inform Lyndsy that the Portuguese are not Latin American. She has nothing in common with Eva Longoria or Jennifer Lopez, and while Portuguese is spoken in Brazil, it has a myriad of races and ethnicity .

    • jbriz says:

And someone should inform you that the word Latino/a is derived from Latin the ancient language that is the root of the Romance Language group (Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, etc…) and all people that speak it or has a cultural similarity with Latin culture then they are Latino.

      • Frankie says:

so french and italian people are considered latinos? dude, i know that you americans list everything is mediterranean or from south the border as ‘latino’ but it isn’t right for europeans. one thing is sure and you pointed it out too: french, spanish, portuguese, italian and romanian are neo-latin languages since they took origin from the ancient latin. but here in europe ‘latino’ is referred to people that have anchestry in latin america that means from mexico to go. if you want to list southern italian, spanish and southern french people as something then you can list them as mediterraneans if you want to be correct. these cultures are not the same as the latin american ones and they’re not even the same between them. but please, don’t label people.

        • marjanel says:

Then if southern Europeans are not latino then Latin Americans are not latino.Latin Americans are latino because Southern Europeans. Latin is only about languages, languages that also southern europeans share. I am Latin American ant really the only thing that makes us close to other Latins is language.

she looks white because of her german side.

  3. lolx says:

    Latina ?
    Portugese aren’t latina xd
But yeah , same last name, don’t know her.

    • Misaaaaaa says:

Maybe she is unaware that the Portuguese are European?

Technically, they are Latin because their language is a Latin-based language. However, Lyndsy seems to think they are comparable to the likes of Eva Longoria or Jennifer Lopez . . . which is not the case. She also seems to think it is a race. /:

How can one be so ignorant about their own heritage?

      • marjanel says:

May be, because She was raised in USA, where media and most peope think that, including “latinos”. If she were raised in Portugal or Latin America, she would not think like that.

  4. SparkleTime says:

How come there are not many Americans of Portuguese descent? The only other actor I can think of who shares a common background with her is Tom Hanks, who has a Portuguese mother.
