Luís Figo is a Portuguese professional footballer. A winger, he played for Sporting CP, Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Inter Milan, and the Portugal national team. He is regarded as one of the greatest wingers of his generation.

Luis is the son of Maria Joana Pestana Madeira and Antonio Caeiro Figo. He moved from the Alentejo to Lisbon in the early 1970s, and grew up in Lisbon’s working-class district of Cova da Piedade, Almada. Figo is married to Swedish model Helen Svedin, with whom he has three children. He has established charity Fundação Luís Figo/Luís Figo Foundation, which helps special needs children and children in poverty.
