Why are Americans so afraid to say mixed race?
It’s slowly being accepted with a lot of people having mixed kids. It’s still going to take a long time.
People still identify with what they’ve been told unless they take an DNA test to track their ancestry
that depends on the person
it will never be widespread because everyone is already admixed . People have admixed kids will not make a difference because that admixture only last one generation then depending on whom they marry their ancestors will become that race.
Because most African Americans are of mixed heritage. The average African American has about 20% European ancestry so “mixed” usually only refers to someone that has a white/non-African American parent.
@multiethnicchick because all black Americans and black carribeans are technically mixed race its redundant. Everyone was admixed from slavery.

He looks like he is from one of the former French colonies like Reunion.
That is possible. Btw I know a woman from the island who looks mostly French with some South Asian admixture. She speaks French with me but she can speak Réunion Creole too.
He is, Louisiana
correction his father was African-American and his mother is Louisiana Creole
